Saree Roll Polishing
Roll polishing that restores body, drape & lustre to limp sarees.
About saree roll polishing
Saree roll polishing is a specialist starch-and-roll-press treatment that restores the fall, body and drape of a saree that has gone limp with wear or age. We hand-inspect every saree, apply a fabric-appropriate starch (rice-based for cotton, gum-based for silk), hand-stretch it on a padded table, roll-press it under controlled pressure and hand-finish the zari through muslin — so your saree feels crisp and new again. Safe for Kanjivaram, Banarasi, Mysore silk, cotton, organza and bridal sarees. Every polished saree is returned tissue-folded and sealed in a Vestido Fabwash Studio protective cover. Often paired with our silk saree dry cleaning for a full restoration.

Saree Roll Polishing at our studio

Every saree is inspected, roll polished and sealed individually — no bulk processing, no colour mixing.
How we deal with stains
Polishing restores finish and drape; it is not a stain treatment. Stained sarees are dry-cleaned first, then polished.

No minimum order
All prices are exclusive of taxes. Applicable GST is added to the final billing amount. Final pricing is confirmed after inspection at pickup.
What this service cannot do
- Pre-existing damage, weak seams and colour bleeding are pointed out before processing and cannot be guaranteed.
- Free pickup and delivery apply within a 5 km radius of the Vajarahalli studio.
- Polishing cannot repair tears, holes or missing zari threads.
How to prepare your items
- Empty all pockets and remove pins, brooches and detachable ornaments.
- Point out stains at pickup — tell us what caused them and how old they are.
- Keep items dry; damp bundles left in plastic can develop odour before pickup.
Looking after them at home
- Hang the polished saree for a day before folding.
- Store returned garments on breathable hangers or in cotton covers, not sealed plastic.
- Keep cleaned items away from direct sunlight to protect colour.
